Not that I need a reason to feature David Gandy in a Man Candy Monday post, but there actually is one or two. Earlier today I reviewed Remind Me by Ann Marie Walker and her writing partner, Amy K. Rogers. Both are huge fans of Gandy candy, but that’s not the reason. This weekend was Ann Marie’s birthday, and tomorrow is when Remind Me releases, and honestly DG is a perfect candidate for Hudson Chase…the uber hot, totally alpha hero of the story. That’s why he’s getting a post all to himself this week. Lucky us huh? 😉
Avery has just met her hot upstairs neighbor. He’s irresistible. Tattooed. And a virgin.
Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating—she’s perfectly happy single. Privy to too many of her mother’s bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.
When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him—for just one night. But he won’t accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.
Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.
So she needs to make a choice—let Bennett go or finally let him in.
Today we’re discussing chapters 10-16 from The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski.
So much happens in these chapters…
I have all kinds of book boyfriends that have all kinds of lifestyles, and careers, but for this week I’m going to share a few of my favorite rockers.
Normally on Sunday mornings I post a topic from 18 and Over, but sadly the host has decided to put that feature on hiatus for a while.
For the next few Sunday’s I thought I’d share some of my favorite book boyfriends in a different way…this week I’ll start with the Alpha’s…
A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?
