Goodreads Choice Awards, Hurricane, Blogiversary

Hello peeps…Happy Halloween to those that celebrate it, and happy Wednesday to all.

In light of the hurricane that has devastated many, I’d like to encourage everyone to think about making a donation to one of the charities that will be helping people get through the loss of a home, job, etc.

Sylvain Reynard has posted several charities that are worth donating to on his website with links. For the cost of a book or two we can all make a difference in someone’s life.

Voting in the Goodreads Choice Awards

Hey it’s time to vote for your favorite books and therefore authors in the 2011 Goodreads Choice Awards.

In case you’re saying to yourself that your vote doesn’t matter…YOU ARE WRONG!

Voting gives more exposure and a wider audience to the books/authors that you love. We as readers should want our favorites to do well, and I encourage you to support them in any way you can. Remember, just because a book is published doesn’t mean that it’s over…that’s just the beginning really. For an author to be successful they need ardent and passionate fans. I try to be an advocate any way I can for those authors that have inspired me in some way. When I love a book enough to buy it in all it’s published forms and review, rate, list, tag, recommend…well you get the picture, then I want others to share the passion I feel for it. So please take a few minutes and show your support. One last thing…if your favorite books or authors aren’t listed you can write them in.

P.S.  Vote for:

Sylvain Reynard- Gabriel’s Inferno – Best Romance

E. L. James- Fifty Shades of Grey-  Goodreads Author

Veronica Roth-  Divergent- Young Adult Fantasy

Myra McEntire- Hourglass – Young Adult Fiction
