What was the most emotional read you have ever had?
Tonight I want to share one of my favorite quotes from the Outlander book series by Diana Gabaldon. I finally received my copy of the 20th anniversary edition and so as promised tomorrow I will begin my Outlander rekilt…ok fine JAG…reread 😉 Anyways I hope you’ll join me in reading one of my top books of all time. Along the way I’ll share
some a lot of quotes, pictures, scenes and if your good maybe a surprise or 2. We’ll have lots of fun.
Also, tomorrow our Book to Film character will be Jamie Fraser aka #JAMMF …because well… James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Frasier is a whole lotta name to remember
but then Jamie is a whole lotta man *starts breathing into a paperbag*
Ok now for that quote:
” I wept bitterly, surrendering momentarily to my fear and heartbroken confusion, but slowly I began to quiet a bit, as Jamie stroked my neck and back, offering me the comfort of his broad, warm chest. My sobs lessened and I began to calm myself, leaning tiredly into the curve of his shoulder. No wonder he was so good with horses, I thought blearily, feeling his fingers rubbing gently behind my ears, listening to the soothing, incomprehensible speech. If I were a horse, I’d let him ride me anywhere.”
— Diana Gabaldon (Outlander)
Yeah I’d like to be that horse too…
See y’all tomorrow- Tamie Xo
