In the fourth sexy romance by the New York Times bestselling author of Tangled and Twisted, Drew and Kate can’t wait to tie the knot—if they can survive the pre-wedding festivities.

For most of my life, I never imagined I’d get married. But Kate did the impossible: she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before, but now I’m even better.

The road to this day wasn’t all rainbows and boners. There were mistakes and misunderstandings worthy of a Greek tragedy. But Kate and I made it through with our inexhaustible lust, boundless admiration, and everlasting love for one another intact.

That being said, there were some unexpected incidents in Vegas last weekend that could have been a problem. It was kind of… my final test.

I know what you’re thinking—what the hell did you do this time? Relax. Let’s not judge, or call for my castration, until you’ve heard the whole story.

And hold on tight, because you’re in for a wild ride. Did you expect anything less?

If you haven’t figured it out yet, then you’ve been missing out for sure. We f*cking adore Drew Evans here at BT. Seriously there isn’t another book boyfriend that makes me laugh like Drew. I didn’t realize how much I missed him until I started reading Tied. Don’t misunderstand, I loved Twisted. We got Kate’s side of the story, but I love being in Drew’s head more.

Katiebird Reviews Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower

Monster in His Eyes by J.M. Darhower

Monster in His Eyes cover

Ignazio Vitale is not a good man.

I suspect it, the first time I see him, sense the air of danger that surrounds the man. He has a way of commanding attention, of taking control, of knowing what I’m thinking before I even do.

It’s alarming and alluring. It’s dark and deadly. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted but the last thing I truly need. Obsession.

It doesn’t take him long to draw me into his web, charming me into his bed and trapping me in his life, a life I know nothing about until it’s too late. He has secrets, secrets I can’t fathom, secrets that make it so I can’t walk away, no matter how much I beg him to let me go. I see it sometimes in his eyes, a darkness that’s both terrifying and thrilling. He’s a monster, wrapped up in a pretty package, and what I find when I unmask him changes everything.

I want to hate him.

Sometimes, I do.

But it doesn’t stop me from loving him, too.

Have you ever wondered if we read each other’s posts and reviews here at BT? You know, take each other’s recommendations, and read something that maybe we wouldn’t have read, like we hope that you all will do? Before I answer that question, I want to say that we don’t all read the same books nor do we always agree on what we love. Case and point: Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens or This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas. But I’m digressing here….

Katiebird Reviews Twisted by Emma Chase

Twisted by Emma Chase

Twisted cover

There are two kinds of people in the world. The ones who look first, and the ones who leap. I’ve always been more of a looker. Cautious. A planner. That changed after I met Drew Evans. He was so persistent. So sure of himself – and of me.

But not all love stories end happily ever after. Did you think Drew and I were going to ride off into the sunset? Join the club. Now I have to make a choice, the most important of my life. Drew already made his –in fact, he tried to decide for the both of us. But you know that’s just not my style. So I came back to Greenville. Alone. Well, sort of alone….

What I’ve come to realize is that old habits die hard and sometimes you have to go back to where you began, before you can move ahead.

TWISTED picks up two years after Tangled’s end, and is told from Kate’s POV.

Yeah. Yeah. I am so late to this party. Drew Evans has been featured and adored by everyone else here at BT, but apparently I wasn’t paying attention. You can check out the review of Tangled by Tamie and Elena here. This book made their top ten favorite lists for 2013! Better late than never right?

Katiebird interviews Qwen Salsbury, author of The Plan

Doing author interviews is probably one of my favorite things I get to do for Bookish Temptations, but can be the most nerve-wracking. Mainly because I still have this fangirl-like awe for authors. That still hasn’t changed even though I do interact with them more now than I ever have.

I got the distinct pleasure of reading the fantastic book The Plan by Qwen Salsbury recently. I just love this author and her writing, that I asked if I could interview her. She was so kind to accept…

The Plan by Qwen Salsbury

Goodreads Summary:

Day of Employment: 359

11:05 a.m.

 Location: Cubicles outside Canon’s office.

Co-workers: Betting on how long Canon’s new PA will last.

Me: No doubts. Ms. Gum-smacker won’t last the day. I need to place my bet.

Manolo Blahnik’s New Fall Shoes: Mine. As soon as Madeline hands over my winnings.

Emma Baker has never spoken a word to Alaric Canon, nor has he to her. But she’s studied him every day across the office tundra for almost a year. Canon is hard and fierce, terrifying and beautiful. He’s also the most stern, unforgiving person Emma has ever seen. Emma’s co-workers run a betting pool for Personal Assistant terminations. There’s a separate pot for the day one leaves without crying. Not likely…Canon made a former Navy SEAL cry.

He has high standards and low tolerance. Everyone knows it. Everyone stays away. Everyone who can, that is. Except Emma. She can’t look away. Alaric Canon is the single most attractive man she’s ever seen. Bar none.

Canon has never noticed her. Not once in almost a year. She’s not even a blip on his radar. But she will be. His radar will be blipless no more.

It is a goal. Emma has a plan.

Where to begin with how I feel about Qwen and this book. It was the highlight of my new year’s reading for sure. There is just so much to love…

Katiebird Reviews: Spellbound by Sylvia Day with a Giveaway

It’s not a secret that Bookish Temptations loves Sylvia Day, so when I was given the opportunity to read her paranormal book Spellbound, I was thrilled and jumped at the chance to be a part of the Book blog tour.

Spellbound by Sylvia Day Blog Tour 2/3-2/16
Synopsis:

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Sylvia Day comes a story of the ultimate seduction. . . .

Max Westin. Sex incarnate. She could smell it, feel it with his proximity. Everything about him was a little rough, a little gritty. He was a primitive creature. Just like her.

He held her hand a little too long, his gaze, under thick lashes, clearly stating his intention to have her. To tame her. . . .

“Victoria.”

Her name, just one word, but spoken with such possession she could almost feel the collar around her neck.

“It’s in your nature,” he murmured. “The desire to be taken.”

In this game of cat and mouse, everything is an illusion, but the passion is as real as it gets. . . .
