For years, Karise McAlister has been running: from her family, from herself, and from her dreams. Now she’s made it, with a successful career and a promising engagement. But when she meets the compelling and creative Aidan Donnelly, his down-to-earth charm provides the wakeup call Karise badly needs. Moving across country to start over, Karise devotes herself to her work, convinced she needs to be independent. But with handsome Aidan just down the road and a mischievous group of friends determined to set her up, Karise must face her concerns about life and romance head-on.
“He was so special, so real. She couldn’t believe the way she felt. This love was meant for the two of them and no other.”
Every time Heather Huffman has a book coming out, I know it will be a winner for me. I’ve read several book by this author, and I’ve always found them compelling, very enjoyable and with themes worth pondering on. Waiting For You is no different.
It’s a story where the characters take centre stage, and it’s a sweet romance where love is unexpectedly found, friendships are cherished, and a journey of self discovery is undertaken.
I had the great pleasure of interviewing Heather Huffman for the release of her latest novel, Roses in Ecuador. I wanted to thank Heather once again for agreeing to do this interview and answering my questions.
Unknown to each other, they each escaped to the heart of Ecuador to make the world a better place, having sworn off the possibility of love… but disaster pulls them together.
Jane Russell is certain she’s had enough heartbreak for one lifetime, and love is the last thing on her mind when she arrives in Ecuador. Focused and determined, she settles in to write a book on the local jaguar preservation.
Devon McAllister, the wealthy and handsome son of a corporate mogul in the U.S., has broken his share of hearts despite his best intentions. He moved to Ecuador to escape his father’s destructive greed and pursue his passion to do good in the world, opening a fair trade rose plantation.
When the jaguar preservation comes under attack by what appears to be a group of angry locals, Devon jumps in to help Jane fight for the animals they love. As the danger grows, the motives of the attackers are revealed to be much more sinister than either could have ever imagined.
Unsure of whether they’re more frightened by the prospect of love or the danger to the jaguars, they must decide whether they can open their minds–and their hearts–to trust again.
My review :
A lovely woman and animal lover, a troubled and handsome man who owns a rose plantation. Jaguars, danger, love, passion…Will this book capture your heart?
