TAMIE
I started this book blog because I have a passion for reading, and for those who write. I want to share that passion with people and I want to promote reading however I can.
I have 2 great passions in life. Travel and reading. I’ve been lucky enuff to have lived on both coasts, and visited a lot of places in between. Although I have lived in NC for 2o years now I will always consider San Francisco and the Bay Area to be home in my heart. I have Canadian roots via a beloved grandma, so I’ve been there too. I love all things French and British, and enjoyed my best vacay ever in France a few years ago.
I learned to read before I went to school, and I read fast. I consider that to be both a blessing and a curse. I was one of those children forever getting caught reading in bed when I was supposed to be sleeping. I read every day. Period. I like genres of all kinds, but my faves are Romance, Erotica, Paranormal/Fantasy. I have a special place in my heart for several books/series and the authors who gave us such fabulous reads. These include Gabriel’s Inferno, The Fifty series, Outlander series, Fever series, and Twilight series. I enjoy YA as well.
As I said I love erotica, but only if it’s written well. Also, I actually like it when authors make me wait for it awhile. Give me lots of long, slow, passionate kisses, and make me burn 1st. What can make or break a great read for me is this. I want UST, love, loss/sacrifice, and redemption. Don’t give me a happy ending unless the characters earned it. And, I want strong, defined characters. If they’re wishy washy I won’t love them. Finally, I prefer very descriptive writing, but don’t overwhelm me with it. In all things balance is good.
My Fabulous Team:
Gina- Tamie and I met on Twitter, through mutual friends and our love of books. I was thrilled when she asked me to be a reviewer, there is nothing I love to talk about more than a good book. I’ve been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. My mom was a Harlequin junkie, I remember trying to get her attention by putting my hand on the pages, just to have her ignore me and read through my fingers. I completely understand her willingness to read despite (or because) of the madness around her. There is nothing better than a story that absorbs you so fully, you forget where you are.
I love all genres of books, my favorites being romance (paranormal and chick lit) and fantasy. You will never hear me say that I have nothing to read, I currently own an embarrassing huge pile of “To Be Read” books. I have a problem, and I happily embrace it. *grins* Once I find an author I like, I’ll read everything they’ve written before I move on to another. I have many favorites, I do have a few books or series that I’ll re-read every few years… The Outlander Series, The Summer Tree series, Twilight Series, Jane Eyre and anything by Jane Austen. I also enjoy reading some philosophy and poetry.
When it comes to deciding why I like a book, it has more to do with the writer’s ability to create an environment I can easily imagine and characters that are well written. I prefer it when an author is willing to take us places kicking and screaming. My life is defined by the “comfort zone” I live in every day. I want a book that’s going to make me feel and experience things that I most likely won’t in real life. Isn’t that the point of reading fiction after all?
Morgan Locklear
Morgan Locklear writes songs, novels, and dirty limericks. He studied literature at Portland State University and lives with his family on the Oregon coast. He has written professionally for 15 years and values all forms of artistic expression. Morgan is legally blind and uses fiction to create worlds where he can see everything in perfect detail.
Elena- I’m a University student of Foreign Languages and Literature and literature is indeed my passion. I love reading so much that I spend countless hours in bookstores and libraries.
I have a soft spot for poetry and art. I like traveling and discovering new places. I never tire of learning.
Annie and Debb – We are soul mates who met and bonded over our mutual love of sparkly things and the man who brings it all to life. Or death. Whatever. We like to read different things and then make fun of each other for not liking the same things. Fan fiction is like a drug to us.
It’s an honour to be part of Tamie’s team and we love sharing our love of fic, sparkles and lemony goodness with you. xo
Katie- I haven’t always been reader. I remember loving to read as a child. Going to the library with my Grandmother, for storytime. As an adult though, reading was fleeting for me. I would go in phases, reading Ann Rice, Kenneth Follett, and Elizabeth Kostnov. That all changed in February 2009. I stumbled onto this book called Twilight, knowing honestly nothing about it, other than it was about vampires. I am a huge fan of them. Reading became more important to me; it consumes my time, more than anything else. I read every single day.
I am extremely lucky to have met some amazing and gifted people through my love of Twilight and fan fiction. One of these people is Deb. She is what brought me here, because her recommendations of what she deems worthy of reading are my guide. I knew I found the right place, because I am here every day wondering what to read next, and love to know what everyone here is reading. My husband teases me, because I read fast, but he is a very happy man, because he has definitely reaped the benefits of what I learn from reading. It inspires me. *giggle* Reading was always a luxury in the past, now it’s a necessity.
What I tend to read most are paranormal romances and historical fiction. I will take a break from time to time to read YA and adult romances, but there has to be something special about the characters. I love learning new things, so teach me something I don’t know, and you’ll have me to the very end.

It might be strange to say that I am so much more drawn to my lovely friends in Twitter than in RL. Yes, I am weird that way. Being a member of this fantabulous team is such a priveledge and a blessing. I am very much grateful. Laters.xx gel

There are two things I enjoying doing during my spare time, reading and baking. But I must admit, it wasn’t until last spring that I rediscovered the joy of reading when a certain man named Christian Grey came into my life.
As a teacher, I spend my day reading children’s literature as well as promoting reading. Fortunately, I am very lucky to work with many colleagues who also share the same passion for reading as I do. We talk about our favorite books and book boyfriends daily. It is actually one of my favorite times of the day.
I love to read all genres but Romance is my favorite. I can thank one of my favorite authors Sylvain Reynard for making me love this genre even more than I did before. I enjoy Young Adult, New Adult, and Erotica as well. My favorite authors are Sylvain Reynard, S.C. Stephens, Colleen Hoover, Alice Clayton, and Michelle Leighton.
Yes, I carry my tablet or a book with me everywhere I go so I am never lonely. My fictional friends are always nearby and I am always ready to start a conversation about them.
